
South Florida (5-0-1) was rewarded for starting its Big East schedule 1-0-1 last week by leaping over number four Maryland to land in the the number three spot in the latest NSCAA Division I poll. The Bulls' men will continue their conference schedule with a pair of matches this coming weekend away to West Virgina and Pittsburgh.
University of Tampa (4-0-1) had been ranked number one in the NSCAA Division II poll, three weeks running. Last week's draw against West Florida proved costly to the Spartan men, as they tumbled out of the top spot down to fifth. One of the schools squeezing past them was conference rival Lynn University, which Tampa will square off against on October 3rd.
On the women's side, the St Leo women again received vote in the NSCAA Division II poll, but failed to make the top 25. The Lions will get their chance to crack the top 25 when they face number nine Rollins College on Wednesday night.
