Mountaineers upset Bulls 1-0 in OT

A large crowd of over 1,500 turned out on a cool Friday evening in Morgantown to watch West Virginia (3-2-2) shock the number three ranked Bulls barely a minute into overtime. Ninety minutes of regulation time yielded a poor effort from South Florida (5-1-1) as they failed to get one of their just three shots on the Mountaineer goal.

The Bulls were out shot in regular time 12-3 and then gave up the game winner in the ninety-first minute to West Virginia's only shot in overtime. USF's keeper Jeff Attinella, made five saves in the process of recording his first loss on the season.

USF is now fourth in the Big East Conference's Red Division and will immediately have to regroup as they play their next match against Pitt on Sunday in Pittsburgh. The Panthers are 1-7 overall for the year and are in last place in the Big East Blue Division.
