UT women at Armstrong Atlantic State University

When: Today, 5pm

Where: AT&T Field, Savannah, GA

The Spartans need to break a two game losing streak, but Armstrong Atlantic (5-1-2) is ranked number nineteen in the country and will be a tough nut to crack on their home park. The Pirates are undefeated at home; outscoring opponents 21-2 in the process. Last season these two schools scrapped all the way into overtime, before Armstrong prevailed 3-2.

The Pirates are enjoying a five match unbeaten streak and have a talented leading scorer in Kristin Burton of Ocala. In just eight games played, Kristin, a senior, has scored twelve goals and six assists. She was named Peach Belt Conference Womens Soccer Player of the Week on Tuesday. This was her eleventh such award in her career, which is a school record in any sport, male or female.

UT (3-4-1) are in the midst of a six game road journey. The Spartans are 1-2-0 so far on this trip away from home. Jazmin Perry leads the UT attack with five goals this season and Sara Kneeland is right behind her with four goals and one assist. The Tampa offense is looking to get on track after being shut out the past two games.

Tampa will continue its road trip on Sunday against Georgia College.
